When we move from place to place in a short amount of time, we often ask each other “Where are we?”

After leaving little Liam and his parents on Tuesday the 24th, we headed for Rock Hill South Carolina, where we stayed in my brother’s driveway for a couple of days. We went out for dinner one night, but other than that, just relaxed and visited.

We left Kevin and Darlene’s on Thursday the 26th and headed to the Tennessee Valley Winery in Louden TN, on the western side of the Smoky Mountains. The drive through the Smokies was beautiful, definitely worth a visit if you are ever in the area.

The winery is part of the Harvest Host program that we joined last year. Harvest Hosts is a network of wineries, farms, orchards and other types of agricultural sites that allow self-contained RV’ers to visit and overnight for free!

Tennessee Valley is the oldest and most awarded winery in the state. It is owned and operated by an Italian family that lived in South Africa. The owner has been making wine for over 30 years and he was gracious and entertaining.

Friday morning Sept 27, we headed for NACO’s Natchez Trace Wilderness campground located along the Natchez Trace Parkway where will stay until Tuesday Oct 1.

The Natchez Trace Parkway is a historical drive closely mirroring an ancient trail used by animals, Indians, and European travelers. Our drive into the campground was beautiful. However we haven’t left the campground to go exploring.

After 3 months of “craziness” with family and friends we are happy just to hang out at the coach, go to potluck dinners and hayrides with our fellow campers.

Next stop will be somewhere close to Memphis where hopefully we will feel like leaving the campground to search out some good blues clubs.

Chat me up peeps! We love to hear from you.
