It is Coming to an End…

We have been “home” here in PA since July 1st and the time seems to have flown by. When we arrived summer was just beginning. Our granddaughter celebrated her 3rd birthday and our two grandsons were born. Today the air is cool, Labor day has come and gone, and the school buses are running. Fall is right around the corner.

It seemed as soon as we got parked at Britt and Zane’s we were pulling out again. Briggs Farm Blues Festival was on our list of things to do once we got home, so on July 4th we headed for Briggsville, PA! It was our first time parking the RV in a “field”. A little scary but it was worth it, we had a great time with Andy and Candy! We are out there somewhere…

It was a sea of color, easy-ups and umbrellas in the concert area!

July 23rd was a hot one, but that made for fun water play and lots of bouncing in the bouncy-house on Riesa’s birthday!

While I have been “jet-setting” up and down the East coast spending time with our new grandsons, John has been making changes to the interior of the coach. After 6 months on the road in a variety of climates and weather we identified changes we wanted to make to our home.

There were two things I wanted changed. The floor, from carpeting to some sort of wood covering and I wanted the second couch removed and a computer workstation/desk area built. So I gave John my wish list and let him “ponder” it for a few months. Turns out John wanted the TV over the driver’s seat relocated as well.  Here are the before and after pictures of what he did:

John is VERY proud of the hydraulic lift that raises and lowers the TV in the cabinet that he designed and Paul built. It is pretty cool!

Though we have enjoyed visiting with friends and family, and loving-up the grandchildren, it is time for us to be  hitting the road. We are both experiencing “hitch-itch”, that need to go exploring the country and see what there is to see.

Our grand send off party is Sunday, September 15th at Andy and Candy’s house. Hope to see you there, if not, maybe we will see you “down the road”.

Chat me up peeps! We love to hear from you.
