Tonight was the annual Blues Festival Fall into the Blues concert \/ fund raiser. A solo act and band are selected in March to go to Memphis the following year and compete with other blues bands. This event helps raise money to offset the cost of their travel expenses.<\/p>\n

As always the music was great, the attendees entertaining, and it was good to catch up with people that we sometimes only see at Blues Festivals and outdoor concerts.<\/p>\n

The big surprise, musically was the\u00a0Uptown Music Collections – Young Blood – performance. We have seen them before and have watched them improve with every performance. Tonight had to be their best yet.\u00a0As a band they are really starting to come together and develop a “flow” or\u00a0“synergy”. Definitely will be keeping an eye on them as the members mature.<\/p>\n

The second big surprise was Andy and Candy’s announcement of their engagement. They have been dating for 3 years and this past Friday, Andy finally made his move, so to speak.<\/p>\n

John and I are so happy for them, they are so good together.<\/p>\n

It is\u00a0funny how sometimes everyone around you know you are made for each other, but it takes\u00a0a while for you to realize it yourselves. John and I are case and point.<\/p>\n
