When it comes right down to it, as far as the home thing goes, an RV is a rolling earthquake. Items shift and vibrate out of place. Securing these items while traveling is a necessity.

When we first started out, I put everything literally not-nailed-down, away or tucked somewhere that would keep it protected. Yeah, that was no fun. Imagine: Every 2 weeks, having to clear every flat surface in your house (knickknacks, lamps, plants, pictures….), put all of your shower stuff away and shrink your living space in half. Aaaaah!!

Then I discovered Museum Putty. It is a reusable, non-permanent putty that will not damage your wood or other surfaces while it securely holds items in place. Awesome stuff, purchased at Amazon.

The hold is strong enough that I use it on my vase (sorry you can’t see it), digital picture frame, plants…

…and lamps.

For plants that need rotated often, I bought 3” lazy Susan turntables (from Amazon of course) and secured all of it with the museum putty.

Also figurines, my candlewax warmer and more plants, of course.

Last but not least….John’s display case full of rocks.

Museum putty works really well on flat surfaces but I have not had good luck using it on vertical surfaces.
