John has been working on the house, very hard these last couple of weeks, almost obsessively. He needs a break whether he knows it or not. So my plan is to take him Geocaching. Basically I just need to get him out of the house and thinking about something else for a while. Not to mention we are falling behind in our self imposed caching quota of 50 per year.<\/p>\n
I setup the map with all the caches in the area, and told him to pick where he wanted to go and the type of caching he wanted to do. Since we had the dogs with us, we needed some hiking type caches or caches in an area where we could walk the dogs. He was so fried he couldn’t even concentrate enough to really look and consider where to go, too much considering and detail work. He said he would just choose a route and we would pickup caches where ever we found them. OK, I said and loaded the dogs.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Turns out though route John took us on was an area we had cached hard on before. He appologized about not picking better. I then had to admit to him that my whole goal for the day was just to get him away from the house and thinking about something else for awhile. He laughed, thanked me and promised me a “good” caching day in the future, with lots of finds. We found some nice back roads to drive on and some good areas to hike the dogs. We only found 3 caches, but John was refreshed and relaxed by the end of the day.<\/p>\n
