{"id":6547,"date":"2015-12-19T17:11:00","date_gmt":"2015-12-19T22:11:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.2dogsbarkin.com\/blog\/?p=6547"},"modified":"2020-06-22T09:39:22","modified_gmt":"2020-06-22T13:39:22","slug":"next-stopdallas-tx-again","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.2dogsbarkin.com\/blog\/archives\/6547","title":{"rendered":"Next stop&ndash;Dallas TX, Again"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We are on the road again heading from Daleville, Alabama back to Dallas, TX where John will spend one day unloading the helicopters BSC just disassembled.<\/p>\n<p>Traveling west in the late afternoon on a bright sunny day is uncomfortable and dangerous too, everyone is having trouble seeing around the sun. Around 3:30 p.m. we start looking for a place to stay. Our normal overnight spot is usually a Walmart, however, John reminded me that today is the last Saturday before Christmas. Yeah, Walmart may not be a good choice.<\/p>\n<p>Luckily we were passing by the Natchez Trace in Mississippi and John whipped off the highway, literally. I hate it when he does that with the coach. The section we entered isn\u2019t close to any of the campgrounds along the Trace so we opted for a picnic area.<\/p>\n<p>How fitting that the first one suitable for our rig is Deans Stand? The Deans supplemented their farm income by offering lodging to travelers.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.2dogsbarkin.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_20151219_162449821.jpg?ssl=1\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"background-image: none; padding-top: 0px; padding-left: 0px; margin: 0px 5px; display: inline; padding-right: 0px; border: 0px;\" title=\"IMG_20151219_162449821\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.2dogsbarkin.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_20151219_162449821_thumb.jpg?resize=580%2C436&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"IMG_20151219_162449821\" width=\"580\" height=\"436\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>We have a great front yard, no neighbors, no overhead lights, and pretty much non-existent traffic.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.2dogsbarkin.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_20151219_162645232.jpg?ssl=1\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"background-image: none; padding-top: 0px; padding-left: 0px; margin: 0px 5px; display: inline; padding-right: 0px; border: 0px;\" title=\"IMG_20151219_162645232\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.2dogsbarkin.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_20151219_162645232_thumb.jpg?resize=580%2C436&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"IMG_20151219_162645232\" width=\"580\" height=\"436\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Our backyard and first glance is pretty nice with a picnic table, bridge and a stream.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.2dogsbarkin.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_20151219_162358591.jpg?ssl=1\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"background-image: none; padding-top: 0px; padding-left: 0px; margin: 0px 5px; display: inline; padding-right: 0px; border: 0px;\" title=\"IMG_20151219_162358591\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.2dogsbarkin.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_20151219_162358591_thumb.jpg?resize=580%2C436&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"IMG_20151219_162358591\" width=\"580\" height=\"436\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Upon further exploration we find that we are not the only ones enjoying the solitude of this place.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.2dogsbarkin.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_20151219_162120890.jpg?ssl=1\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"background-image: none; padding-top: 0px; padding-left: 0px; margin: 0px 5px; display: inline; padding-right: 0px; border: 0px;\" title=\"IMG_20151219_162120890\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.2dogsbarkin.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_20151219_162120890_thumb.jpg?resize=570%2C428&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"IMG_20151219_162120890\" width=\"570\" height=\"428\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Apparently we have neighbors after all, the Herod\u2019s. Hopefully they are not a noisy bunch.
