Our time in Texas is coming to a close as Thanksgiving approaches. Though John has worked most of our time here, we did have some time to get out and do a few fun things.<\/p>\n

The big outing this time was to Traders Village. John\u2019s research showed that some people couldn\u2019t see everything there was to see in one day. Its just a flea market right?<\/p>\n

We were expecting a market like Lewisburg PA\u2019s Silver Moon flea market. Our first clue that this was something much more was the entrance. They had 7 lanes at each of the 2 entrances and ALL of the ticket booths were manned. We were there early enough that we got right in, but the lady at the ticket booth expected things to get busy once it warmed up later in the day.<\/p>\n

We parked in section S5, yes there were parking sections, and walked in to the market area. As far as we could see, in every direction, there were people and stands in the open, and many covered areas. Our first thought was this is as big as the Bloomsburg Fair!<\/p>\n

If you wanted it, they had it here! Appliances\u2026.<\/p>\n

One of my favorites, the \u201cdouble barreled sling shot\u201d tent.<\/p>\n

John never saw so many tool tents. He wondered where was\/had all of this construction and work going on for there to be so many used and new tools. Some spots were 10 parking spaces square with nothing but drills, saws, jackhammers\u2026.you name the tool, someone had it.<\/p>\n

Need tires? Yep.<\/p>\n

Need any raw sugar cane? How about some shoes while you are at it?<\/p>\n

There were almost as many toy and clothing vendors as there were tool vendors.<\/p>\n

Hungry? Thirsty? They have that covered too, with all types of foodie and beverage stands.<\/p>\n

And in case your soul needs saving afterwards there were plenty of vendors to help you out with that as well.<\/p>\n

Then head over to the amusement park to let off a little steam.<\/p>\n

They had a Merry Mixer, carousel, and check out these bouncy houses and maze area!<\/p>\n

We spent most of the morning and early afternoon walking around checking out vendors, grabbing a snack, which was pretty good food, people watching and being overwhelmed.<\/p>\n

Traders Village is open EVERY Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Too bad we won\u2019t be here next weekend. John would love to go back!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
