As we exited the ballroom we were greeted with blooming flowers in a lush garden. A garden similar to the ones I dreamed about as child.<\/p>\n

Women ran the households, no small task, so little girls probably didn\u2019t get to play in the garden as much as the boys. The girls spent much of their time being tutored.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

There are gravel pathways all through the garden giving access to plots of flowers.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Tree-lined tunnels perfect for children to run through,<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

or courting couples to sneak a moment of privacy.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

or just taking cool selfies!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Grand topiaries dotted the garden. My imagination was going crazy! Where are my grandchildren when I need them!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

OMG!!! They had a maze! I so wished I had one of these when I was a kid! My friends and I had to wait for fall when the corn stalks died to make our mazes.<\/p>\n

John, Andy, Candy and I put on our \u201ckid\u201d and tried out the maze. We found a few dead ends but we eventually made it to the end. From what we could gather, this was an entertainment game. Spotters watching from above would direct people through the maze in kind of race. Who needs TV!<\/p>\n

Of course there were several vegetable gardens as well.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n
