We are back from our 2 week trip to Namibia, Africa where John, I and 4 other people went on sight-seeing and hunting safari’s.\u00a0 The accommodations were 5 star, the food was outstanding, and the hunting was great.<\/p>\n

I’m not going to detail our trip here, you will get tired of reading and I will get tired of typing. So if you want the whole scoop on the trip and all of our stories, you are just going to have to stop by (or invite us over). We’ll sit around the fire with food and drink and tell you as many tales that you want to hear.<\/p>\n

John did get all of the animals on his list (Kudu, Zebra, Baboon, warthog,\u00a0a culling hunt)\u00a0except the warthog. His culling animal was a blue wildebeest. The other hunting members of our party made out OK as well.<\/p>\n

Lori and I (the only 2 women on the trip) tagged along with the boys on almost all of the hunting trips. We did take one day to relax at the lodge to read,\u00a0nap and hang out in the whirlpool (we both got kinda bored), and another 1\/2 day to visit a carpet weaving factory where the owner gave us a tour and the history of the small factory.

After most of the hunting was done,\u00a0Lori and I plus two of the guys took a trip into\u00a0Windhoek\u00a0for some shopping.The stores and malls are very similar to ours so it\u00a0wasn’t as exciting as I thought; then we found the street vendors!\u00a0I think we had the most fun in the street vendor section. I’m not so good at bartering though.<\/p>\n

Next and finally, came our trip to a national park, Etosha. We stayed in a 5 star hotel by night, and toured the park by day. We saw some amazing animals and some behavior that was…unexpected to say the least.<\/p>\n

Namibia, Africa is a place I would recommend to anyone who loves the outdoors and wants to experience something truly unique. There is a lot more to do than just hunt!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
