Everyone is busy getting the campground ready for the season, which officially starts Memorial day weekend. Our area is looking pretty good except for the volleyball court area.<\/p>\n

So we got our picks and hoes\u2026<\/p>\n

Our hammers\u2026..<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Our rakes\u2026.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

and my personal favorite, the machete! Watch out! Never approach a red head wielding a machete.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

When we sold our house and hit the road, I was worried I would miss gardening. Well I think I\u2019m going to get my fill of pulling weeds, trimming bushes and all that other \u201cgardening\u201d stuff.<\/p>\n

I may not have a \u201csecret garden\u201d any more but Anderson Cove is full of birds, and they are busy at all my feeders.<\/p>\n

So far I have black headed grosbeaks<\/p>\n

Two types of hummers, black throat (pictured below) and broad tails.<\/p>\n

Pretty little black-capped chickadees.<\/p>\n

A finch or two every now and again.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Comical magpies who carry off chip bags, loaves of bread and graham cracker packets from unsuspecting campers. They are about the size of Crows. They are BIG birds.<\/p>\n

But everyone\u2019s favorite is the Great Horned Owl family. A mama and two babies. We are looking forward to watching them grow up over the summer.<\/p>\n
