My wife hates the carpet in our RV. I\u2019ve heard about it EVERYDAY since we moved in. I couldn\u2019t take it anymore.<\/p>\n

Out comes the carpet!!!!!<\/p>\n

I put \u00bc\u201d plywood sub flooring over the RV\u2019s plywood floor to raise the uncarpeted area so that when I put the vinyl plank flooring down it would be flush with tile floor it was going to butt up against.<\/p>\n

NOTE: I only stapled the subflooring down but should have glued it down as well. When we moved from warm weather to cold, the subflooring buckled a bit and now I have to make repairs, which are going to be unpleasant<\/span>.<\/p>\n

With the sub flooring down and thoroughly swept and cleaned I started putting down the glue and then the planks.<\/p>\n

The planks are 4\u201dx 3\u2019 and cut easily with a utility knife. It went down quick and easy.<\/p>\n

Where the plank floor met the tile I trimmed the planks with a utility knife leaving a \u00bd\u201d gap and was able to create a smooth curve. I then filled it with epoxy tile grout.<\/p>\n

Up front by the driver and passenger seats I left the carpet around the seats. I didn\u2019t want to have to try and match the floor height under the chairs, thought I might be asking for trouble.<\/p>\n

I trimmed the carpet so it just overlapped the plank floor and used clear silicone to secure the carpet to the flooring.<\/p>\n

Sophie (the dog) isn\u2019t sure she likes the floor, it is a bit slippery for her. However \u201cMama\u201d is very happy and we all know what happens when \u201cMama ain\u2019t\u201d happy, so I guess Sophie will have to deal with it.<\/p>\n
