Amazon has officially launched its peak season gear-up. Seasonal workers are still rolling in and our overtime hours start this week so we will now be working Tuesday through Saturday 5pm \u2013 3:30am. Inventory control, soooooo feeds into my OCD, I just hope my body can keep up.<\/p>\n

We spent another evening dining and hanging with our new friends. This time we decided to go Mexican at the Cielito Lindo restaurant; the food was authentic and delicious.<\/p>\n

After dinner Duane and Debbie, came back to our coach for a little more chit-chat before heading home. Duane likes building puzzles too, so he was interested in my DIY solution.<\/p>\n

Small space living doesn\u2019t lend itself well to certain activities and puzzle building is one of them. You only have one small table and that is used for eating and gathering around.<\/p>\n

This 1000 piece puzzle takes up our whole table.<\/p>\n

Puzzle savers are a perfect solution to this problem. I have seen several different types for a variety of prices. I like DIY projects and thought this one would be simple and could be done on the cheap.<\/p>\n

Basically the puzzle is rolled up in a piece of cloth around a 3\u201d-4\u201d tube. I went to Lowes,  looked around and couldn\u2019t find what I needed. John suggested I check in the carpet department.<\/p>\n

Turns out they had lots of heavy cardboard centers leftover from carpet rolls. They were happy to GIVE me one. (yeah\u2026free!!!)<\/p>\n

Next I needed to find some cloth so it was off to Wal-Mart. In the fabric department I found some cheap baby blanket flannel. Cost $3.<\/p>\n

I measured the table and had John cut the tube to fit while I trimmed my fabric to the right size. I then lifted the edge where the carpet was inserted for rolling and glued down my fabric.<\/p>\n

I made two ties from the leftover fabric and tada! DIY puzzle saver!<\/p>\n

Now when it is time to eat I just roll up my puzzle, and roll it back out when dinner is over. The puzzle stays together for the most part. I normally only have to do some minor repairs and that happens in the beginning when I hardly have any of the puzzle together.<\/p>\n
