{"id":2956,"date":"2013-09-30T11:15:31","date_gmt":"2013-09-30T15:15:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.2dogsbarkin.com\/blog\/?p=2956"},"modified":"2023-07-02T22:43:04","modified_gmt":"2023-07-03T02:43:04","slug":"where-are-we","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.2dogsbarkin.com\/blog\/archives\/2956","title":{"rendered":"Where are We?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>When we move from place to place in a short amount of time, we often ask each other \u201cWhere are we?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>After leaving little Liam and his parents on Tuesday the 24th, we headed for Rock Hill South Carolina, where we stayed in my brother\u2019s driveway for a couple of days. We went out for dinner one night, but other than that, just relaxed and visited.<\/p>\n<p>We left Kevin and Darlene\u2019s on Thursday the 26th and headed to the Tennessee Valley Winery in Louden TN, on the western side of the Smoky Mountains. The drive through the Smokies was beautiful, definitely worth a visit if you are ever in the area.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.2dogsbarkin.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/Capture1.jpg?ssl=1\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"background-image: none; margin: 0px 5px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; padding-top: 0px; border: 0px;\" title=\"Capture1\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.2dogsbarkin.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/Capture1_thumb.jpg?resize=580%2C393&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"Capture1\" width=\"580\" height=\"393\" border=\"0\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The winery is part of the Harvest Host program that we joined last year. Harvest Hosts is a network of wineries, farms, orchards and other types of agricultural sites that allow self-contained RV\u2019ers to visit and overnight for free!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.2dogsbarkin.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/Capture.jpg?ssl=1\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"background-image: none; margin: 0px 5px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; padding-top: 0px; border: 0px;\" title=\"Capture\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.2dogsbarkin.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/Capture_thumb.jpg?resize=580%2C390&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"Capture\" width=\"580\" height=\"390\" border=\"0\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Tennessee Valley is the oldest and most awarded winery in the state. It is owned and operated by an Italian family that lived in South Africa. The owner has been making wine for over 30 years and he was gracious and entertaining.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.2dogsbarkin.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/winery-t-shirt.gif?ssl=1\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"background-image: none; margin: 0px 5px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; padding-top: 0px; border: 0px;\" title=\"winery-t-shirt\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.2dogsbarkin.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/winery-t-shirt_thumb.gif?resize=411%2C572&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"winery-t-shirt\" width=\"411\" height=\"572\" border=\"0\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Friday morning Sept 27, we headed for NACO\u2019s Natchez Trace Wilderness campground located along the Natchez Trace Parkway where will stay until Tuesday Oct 1.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.2dogsbarkin.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/IMG_1842.jpg?ssl=1\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"background-image: none; margin: 0px 5px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; padding-top: 0px; border: 0px;\" title=\"x-default\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.2dogsbarkin.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/IMG_1842_thumb.jpg?resize=580%2C436&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"x-default\" width=\"580\" height=\"436\" border=\"0\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The Natchez Trace Parkway is a historical drive closely mirroring an ancient trail used by animals, Indians, and European travelers. Our drive into the campground was beautiful.
