A 2 tier feeder with small holes, and a sunflower seed feeder all contain a mix of black oil sunflower seeds, the white striped sunflower seeds, safflower, white millet, peanut pieces and raisins. The finch feeder has Niger thistle.<\/p>\n<p>I throw a handful or two of my seed mix on the ground to keep the sparrows happy and out of the feeders. This has encouraged more mourning doves and juncos to hang around as well.<\/p>\n<figure style=\"width: 349px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"    \" title=\"Chipmunk\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.2dogsbarkin.com\/photos\/wchipmunk.JPG?resize=349%2C336\" alt=\"\" width=\"349\" height=\"336\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">Chipmunk with her cheeks stuffed<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Raw peanuts in the shell are put out for the Blue Jays and the squirrels. Already-shelled peanuts are the favorites of the Titmouse, Black Capped Chickadee and the Nuthatch.<\/p>\n<p>Seems all the birds like the suet, but the Nuthatches and the Downy Woodpeckers are the most frequent visitors to those feeders.<\/p>\n<p>I finally have some finches, but they seem to like the seed mix just as well or better than the Nyjer Thistle that, according the birders, they are supposed to LOVE. The feeder is slowly emptying so they apparently are feeding at it when I&#8221;m not looking.<\/p>\n<p>Here is my list of visitors: (I&#8217;m hoping to be able to get pictures of all of them)<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 90px;\">Carolina Wrens<br \/>\nCardinals<br \/>\nGolden Finches<br \/>\nBlueJays<br \/>\nChickadees<br \/>\nJuncos<br \/>\nSong Sparrow<br \/>\nChipping Sparrows<br \/>\nDowny Woodpeckers<br \/>\nMourning Doves<br \/>\n2 Starlings (yuck)<br \/>\n2 Grackles (yuck again)<br \/>\n3-4 Chipmunks<br \/>\n3 or so Squirrels (that is all that survived my husband&#8217;s gun)<br \/>\n1 rabbit (has a deformed leg, comes in at night)<\/p>\n<p>I&#8221;m just glad I\u00a0no longer going through 3lbs of seed a day.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<figure style=\"width: 483px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"   \" title=\"Titmouse\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.2dogsbarkin.com\/photos\/wtitmouse.JPG?resize=483%2C284\" alt=\"\" width=\"483\" height=\"284\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">Titmouse pair on the birdbath<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>4 feeders, a lot of trial and\u00a0error and I finally have a setup that both the birds, squirrels, rabbits, and I seemed satisfied with.
