The main reason we came to this area of New Mexico was so I could tour the Carlsbad Caverns.<\/p>\n

I have no words to express the enormity of the cave system and the beauty that it holds. It is truly a wonder of nature.<\/p>\n

Speaking of \u201ca wonder of nature\u201d, my claustrophobic husband was able to walk the Caverns with me. Yay for him!<\/p>\n

The Natural Entrance is also where the bats fly out of the cave in the thousands. They only nest here from early spring through October, migrating to Mexico for the winter months.<\/p>\n

Without special equipment it is hard to take pictures in the Caverns, well because it is fairly dark, but here are a few we took that came out OK.<\/p>\n
