These are lands that are owned by all American citizens. The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is the governing body that cares for the land and assists people who want to enjoy them for recreation.<\/p>\n<p>Close to the park is an area that was used by the Native Americans as a hunting tool. Before the Indians in this area were using horses to hunt, they would drive herds of buffalo\/bison off the cliffs of the sink holes to their deaths. Those that did not die from the fall were then killed with spears by Indians waiting in the trenches.<\/p>\n<p>Here is a picture of the trench.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.2dogsbarkin.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/DSC_0065.jpg?ssl=1\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"background-image: none; margin: 0px 5px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; padding-top: 0px; border-width: 0px;\" title=\"DSC_0065\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.2dogsbarkin.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/DSC_0065_thumb.jpg?resize=579%2C436&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"DSC_0065\" width=\"579\" height=\"436\" border=\"0\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The ranger said that we would see buffalo\/bison bones protruding from the banks of the Kill Zone trench. It was pretty cool; we saw leg bones and skulls.<\/p>\n<p>Farther down the trench we came to the Natural Bridge, formed by the erosion of the gypsum and salt deposits.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.2dogsbarkin.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/DSC_0062.jpg?ssl=1\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"background-image: none; margin: 0px 5px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; padding-top: 0px; border-width: 0px;\" title=\"DSC_0062\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.2dogsbarkin.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/DSC_0062_thumb.jpg?resize=580%2C436&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"DSC_0062\" width=\"580\" height=\"436\" border=\"0\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s a pretty big bridge.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.2dogsbarkin.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/DSC_0054.jpg?ssl=1\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"background-image: none; margin: 0px 5px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; padding-top: 0px; border-width: 0px;\" title=\"DSC_0054\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.2dogsbarkin.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/DSC_0054_thumb.jpg?resize=580%2C436&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"DSC_0054\" width=\"580\" height=\"436\" border=\"0\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Sophie was happy to get out of the hot sun. It was neat to see the nests up close. They were empty though.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.2dogsbarkin.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/DSC_0056.jpg?ssl=1\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"background-image: none; margin: 0px 5px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; padding-top: 0px; border-width: 0px;\" title=\"DSC_0056\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.2dogsbarkin.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/DSC_0056_thumb.jpg?resize=580%2C436&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"DSC_0056\" width=\"580\" height=\"436\" border=\"0\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>John\u2019s seen something I just know we are going to have to go investigate. We had a hard time picking him out on the expansive rock face, but he was kind enough to hold still long enough for us to find and photograph him.<\/p>\n<p>Do you see him?
