Soon we will be leaving this place that has been our backyard for the last 3 weeks. Though we have been enjoying ourselves, hitch-itch is setting in and we are ready to move on.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

We aren\u2019t allow to hang anything in the trees at this park. John is sad, because this tree on our site is begging for his air chair.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Medina Lake is known for its almost-tame deer and they are everywhere.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The park is very big and has some nice amenities that we like in a park: hiking, laundry, pool, friendly guests and good food. There seems to be quite a variety of birds. The rock dove (the kind that almost drove me insane while in Africa) Cardinals, Chickadees, Tufted Tit Mouse, and lots of fishing birds. Oh, I almost forgot, there are deer here at the park.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Due to the extended, multi-year drought Medina Lake is mostly empty except for a small stream trickling through it. \"IMG_0746\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Sophie is enjoying all of her long walks in the dried up lake bed and hiking trail.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Did I mention there are deer here in the park? They are very curious about Sophie and vice versa.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

There is a very nice solo camper just down the street from us and she enjoys feeding the deer. Did I mention about the deer in the park? hmm can\u2019t remember if I did…well there are lots of them.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The pool and Jacuzzi are right near the laundry facilities and though I have a washer\/drier in the coach, it really isn\u2019t big enough to do the sheets so we head off to do wash and while we wait we hang out in the Jacuzzi. What a way to do laundry.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

By the way, have I mentioned about the deer in the park? They do seem to be everywhere.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

We\u2019ve gone to a couple of breakfast and supper meals at the Activities Center (gosh just like old people going to a senior center) and met several nice couples that we are looking forward to seeing again down the road.<\/p>\n

Hey, guess what? There are a lot of deer in this park. The bucks are starting to lose their horns. One of them looks particularly pitiful.<\/p>\n
