Mom is gone. The funeral is over. Verne is confused. Life moves on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After all the cooking we have been doing for the last six months in a big kitchen on a residential stove, John has more than had it with our 18-year-old RV stove. So he ripped it out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We all know that I am NO cook. I can follow a recipe if I’m not interrupted, but I get no pleasure from “feeding people” as some say. My children only survived because they liked cereal, salads, soup, and whatever I could make with boiled water So I was very surprised when John said I could pick out the stove top. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The one I chose, fits almost exactly in the space that the original one was in. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A little saw here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And it slides right in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

John hooks up the gas, adds on the face-plate, and plugs it in to a wall outlet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bada bing bada boom, a brandy-new residential gas burner stove top. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our outlets run at 110 volts, but to hook the stove into the 12-volt system of the RV so we don’t have to be on shore power or have the RV’s inverter on to use the stove, we need a power inverter, which we don’t have yet. Hence the cord running out of the stove to the wall outlet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I can’t wait to see what he cooks for us!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Update: The inverter is here and he has patched it in. We are good to go!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
