It\u2019s Memorial Day weekend and we were worried that finding a campsite might be difficult. Apparently, if you can find one far enough out of the way not only will you find a site, you can have the campground all to yourself.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.2dogsbarkin.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/20200523_120128.jpg?ssl=1\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"display: inline; background-image: none;\" title=\"20200523_120128\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.2dogsbarkin.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/20200523_120128_thumb.jpg?resize=804%2C605&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"20200523_120128\" width=\"804\" height=\"605\" border=\"0\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>There are four pull-through hook up sites, a dump station and toilets along with a place to fill your water. Originally built for the 2017 solar eclipse the family has kept it going. A little pricey at $25 a night for what you get, but hey, it feels like we have the whole world to ourselves.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.2dogsbarkin.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/20200524_114955.jpg?ssl=1\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"display: inline; background-image: none;\" title=\"20200524_114955\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.2dogsbarkin.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/20200524_114955_thumb.jpg?resize=805%2C605&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"20200524_114955\" width=\"805\" height=\"605\" border=\"0\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>This area is mostly low, rolling hills with the occasional rock formation. We decide to take a walk around the open fields around us and look for fossils, which are supposed to be in the area.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.2dogsbarkin.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/20200524_113318.jpg?ssl=1\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"display: inline; background-image: none;\" title=\"20200524_113318\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.2dogsbarkin.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/20200524_113318_thumb.jpg?resize=809%2C608&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"20200524_113318\" width=\"809\" height=\"608\" border=\"0\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>We didn\u2019t find any fossils but we did find a living dinosaur. An old man with a beard, smoking a cigar?<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.2dogsbarkin.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/20200524_113637.jpg?ssl=1\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"display: inline; background-image: none;\" title=\"20200524_113637\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.2dogsbarkin.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/20200524_113637_thumb.jpg?resize=827%2C621&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"20200524_113637\" width=\"827\" height=\"621\" border=\"0\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>This rock formation is a little bit easier to identify. Hey, there is a road or path out there through the green grass. I bet that is the Agate Fossil Beds National monument hiking path.
